I repeat...

Happy Reggae (War is Over)
(with apologies to John Lennon & Yoko Ono)

So this is Reggae
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Reggae
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Reggae
And a happy Mateel
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Reggae
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Reggae
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight

And so this is Reggae
And what have we done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And so happy Reggae
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Reggae
And a happy Mateel
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
War is over now

Happy Reggae

Comments:
Also I never thought of this as a war. The war part to me was a cover up to keep the truth from coming out. To call it a war, in a title is misleading and may be created to encite readership. Personally I find that to be a abuse of journalistic power far greater than the complaint you are making against RW's form of satire. Satire is a service to the public good whether or not you like the writing or if it is sensational. Creating sensationalist titles is self-serving in my view and directed toward increasing your readership. Now if the northcoast journal is paying you to do this then the issue I have is less but my understanding is that this is your personal blog. At least RW puts up a disclaimer.

Bob, I feel your pain, really I do... However it seems to me that you are only perpetuating the idea that it is a war. It's not, it's a business disagreement that is in the court process. And all kinds of people have chosen to involve or not involve themselves in a variety of ways. That's for individuals to figure out for themselves - to explore their own moral propensities. To call this a war (on your blog and in the paper) merely validates the strife and divide. It validates the communities involvement in conflict.

Please, we are all so tired and grumpy of this long running divorce. I have always felt that your journalistic fairness was a comfort and relief while being legitimately informative. Don't give into the bitterness now Bob, we need you...

by the way, love the Lennon song parody.
