People

Reggae photog Kim Sallaway sent this recent shot of the Reggae coordinators onsite. It reminded me of what Stephen Marley said when he was in town, "It's not really about the name, you know. It's the people." These are the people putting on the show this weekend. Click on the image and it will get larger. See if there's anyone you know...

You know Bob I wanted to stay off the bandwagon of claiming that you really do side with the PP/TD camp.....Sad it has come to this but it now seems obvious and I must agree with the others, here you go helping feed the PP/TD spin.....And to some extent it is about the people.....but what about the PEOPLE who PAID/FUNDED the event for the last 23 years? Guess those PEOPLE don't matter anymore?

........oh and one more thing......I would LOVE it for once if one of you PP/TD supporters answered a few questions that have been avoided by all of you for so long:

If the lease is not Valid with Mr. Dimmick why does he still hold the Mateels $33,000 deposit?

And do you think it is ethical and legal to use the Mateels steel bridge THEY paid $55,000 for a few years ago in a production they will reap ZERO benefits from?

My mom always told me stealing was wrong and it seems using SOMEONE else's stuff to do your own show is just like stealing......please correct me if I am wrong?

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL podcast on SF Chronicle by Shelah Moody.

Maybe, just maybe, you all will understand the family that WE are. You can't come between family and that is exactly what the MCC tried to do was tear apart our family. We stand strong, tall, and proud. Always, now and forever.

We love you all. Forgiveness.

tell us about your press pass Bob? you masquerade as a "journalist" but really you are a PP insider.

This is so unpleasant. The mafia is a family too, and take as much pleasure in bragging about it. PP's cool cult is growing ever more insular and impudent, the better to celebrate 'unity.' Almighty Jahdollar unite us!!

Bob, this is about a lot more than music for us, the great majority of Mateelians, though I understand why it isn't for you. I hope you can understand us, too.

Yeah, I guess we are united by the almighty dollar, as in we are all willing to pay to attend an event that consistently delivers the best music and the most amazing experience and some of the best memories of our lives.

It is not an exclusive club. A few hours of work can pay for a ticket. Quite complaining and buy a damn ticket.

You guys are really a joke....MCC could have been a big part of this show, lets not forget, they THE MCC Board...refused every single offer. They could have been sitting pretty right now, but Chose, yes chose, let me write that once again...THEY CHOSE to not be a part of the event!!!!

As for the bridge...They were asked to remove it several times and never did...Should they not be paying rent or storage fees....They were also offered rental fees to use the bridge so, let's get off the BS propaganda box you MCC supporters are on and let's get real......

Let's also not forget, that we are all mateel members, so we are the mateel!!!!

Time to suck it up and move on...The MCC leadership needs to leave and move on. They failed their fiduciary responsibilty to the community and it's time that this circus stop......

Dear 10:34,
You seem so pleasant!

I think if you check your facts, you'll see that the MCC made PP a "very generous offer" and PP refused it. They insisted on calling it RR.

But who's concerned about facts?
